What a fixed fee covers

Every fixed fee below covers the following, unless the table says otherwise.

  • Initial consultation and assessment of your case.
  • Advice on the requirements you have to meet under the Immigration Rules.
  • Review of your supporting evidence.
  • Preparation and submission of the application.
  • Advice on the outcome and what to do next.

The figures on this page exclude VAT. VAT at 20% is charged in addition where the supply is subject to UK VAT, which depends on your circumstances and where you are living when you instruct us. We will tell you which applies to you before you decide.

Each matter is different, and one sometimes turns out to be more complex than it first appeared. If your fee is going to go beyond the figure we gave you, we will tell you before the extra work is done, not afterwards.

We are not obliged to publish prices for asylum work and we publish them anyway. These fees are for clients paying privately.

Closed routes, for people who already hold that permission

A route being closed to new applicants does not always close it to the people already on it. Where a settlement window is still open we act on it, and the deadline matters more than the fee, because it does not move.

The fee depends on the grounds of appeal, the volume of evidence, whether expert or medical reports are needed, and whether counsel is instructed. We will give you a figure in writing before any work starts.

EU Settlement Scheme, late application for pre-settled or settled status
A late application has to show reasonable grounds for missing the deadline, and how much work that takes depends entirely on the reason and the evidence for it. We will give you a figure in writing before any work starts.
Marriage Visitor visa
Distinct from the Standard Visitor visa above, and quoted separately because the evidence about the intended marriage is what drives the work. We will give you a figure in writing before any work starts.
Migrant Victims of Domestic Abuse Concession
Formerly the destitution domestic violence concession. It is an urgent application for a short period of permission and access to public funds, and it is quoted case by case. We will give you a figure in writing before any work starts.
Child Student
Quoted with the parent's application where there is one, since much of the evidence is shared. We will give you a figure in writing before any work starts.
eVisa problems and UKVI account access
The work ranges from a short piece of correspondence to a full reconstruction of somebody's immigration history, so a standing fee would be wrong at both ends. We will give you a figure in writing before any work starts.

Costs you pay to someone else

These are not our fees. They are paid to the court, the Home Office or another third party, and they are payable in addition to the figures above.

Barrister's fees on an appeal
Often between £350 and £1,500, depending on the hearing.

Charged by the person providing them. We will tell you what is needed before it is commissioned.
